I’m obsessed with our new house and making it a bit of a statement. As with many of you guys out there, Hubby and I have inherited quite a bit of furniture so lots of our stuff is mismatched. But, I think that adds to what you can do. It looks quirky and helps you express yourself.

Here are some photos of my favourite mismatched furniture pieces from The Pocket Stylist and Scrimpalicious. I love how they’ve painted all the different chairs that lovely duck egg blue colour in the second photo. And the stick chandelier/suspended Christmas tree looks fantastic! I can imagine using this decorating tip for a kid’s party, housewarming or any other party. You could put coloured flags, nametags or any type of ornament on here. You could even use small church candles and melt them in so they stand up by themselves. Of fairy lights…
